A parking study done for 419 concluded that the project would have no spillover parking. This assertion depended on a claim that the project’s proximity to the Roosevelt light rail station — which won’t be completed until 2021 — would reduce car ownership by residents by 20%. We’ve been unable to verify this assertion. We performed our own study of 419’s parking impact using the original analysis as a basis, but without the light rail assumption and corrected for errors. Our results show significant parking spillover onto the streets.
